I'LL TAKE APRIL lyrics
shade all my windows in rose colored hues
don't paper my wall with dim point of views
just send me a letter with words fit to print
or try an appearance and reveal just a hint
the first page announces 6 columns in rhyme
the thoughts you are sending
i'll keep cause they're mine
such equal players you must understand
that everythings working according to plan
continued...
...just you, i hear all the names that you quote
thats who, i count all the times you have spoke
whats new? the pleasures all for my own
a cracked mirror, i'll accept the face you have shown
i wander me back to those days that i know
where dreams that took root let love help them grow
i'll give you blank books of time please to color at will
you see emmy liked march but i'll i'll i'll i'll i'll take april
...what could become second nature
are no rules of good sense
but these common excuses words fail in defense
yes its moments like these
might be the way that life goes
there's nothing to do but find out what we know
you know i'll drink from that glass jar if I can arrange
to keep filled to the brim
with possibilities please don't change
"emily, where are you?" "i'm so near"
"emily, i can't feel you" "i'm right here"
Back to cover...
TOM PRALL
Welcome to the SULLY NATION !
I'll let you know right off the bat...I've never been in the Big Leagues & probably never will. I've been a sandlot slugger all my life & I use the term slugger loosely. I'm no flamethrower, in fact, my playing has been described as "remarkably unremarkable" & I've never been accused of sounding like Stevie Ray Vaughn. A few years ago, a friend of mine prodded me into recording some of my own stuff & I figured, what the heck? Could it be any worse than what I'm hearing? Maybe, maybe not. How would I know? I know one thing...If I did nothing that's exactly what would happen! So... Here you go...
